Robot.com R-noid

R-noid is the first humanoid from Robot.com, the American delivery-robot company previously known for its Kiwibot sidewalk fleet. It was shown publicly in July 2026 at the Automate show in Chicago, where the company presented it as a commercial launch rather than a research preview. The machine is a humanoid torso on wheels: two 7-degree-of-freedom arms and a 4-degree-of-freedom articulated trunk that raises and lowers the working height from floor level to about 1.9 m, all carried on a holonomic base that can slide sideways in narrow aisles. Robot.com does not build the intelligence itself — navigation runs on FieldAI's Field Foundation Models, manipulation on Physical Intelligence's π0.7 vision-language-action model, and the onboard computing is NVIDIA Jetson. The expressive "face" of the robot, which the company calls R-soul, was designed with the Japanese studio Yukai Engineering. Commercially the robot follows the model Robot.com already uses for its R-kiwi delivery and R-cargo transport machines: it is not sold, but rented as a service, and the company claims eight to twelve weeks from a first site survey to autonomous operation. Five job profiles were offered at launch — restaurant assistant, packer, picker, folder and host — across industrial, logistics, healthcare, food service, lodging and events. Confirmed deployments remain modest: a packer working at a golf course and a second unit moving toward production at a food manufacturing plant. Robot.com has not published height, weight, payload, battery capacity, runtime or pricing, and its claim of "Level 4" autonomy is a marketing description rather than a certified standard. The profile is listed as pilot-stage until the company or a named customer documents fleet operation at scale.
