Robot.com R-top

R-top is the bench-mounted counterpart to R-noid, the wheeled service humanoid from the American company Robot.com (formerly Kiwibot). Where R-noid drives across factory floors and logistics lines, R-top stays where the work is: the manufacturer describes it as operating on fixed surfaces and handling precise or delicate tasks such as kitchen support and package handling. Both machines run on the same software layer, which the company calls RobotOS, and which it says synchronises them with the rest of its robot fleet. The published specification is short. The robot has two arms with 6 degrees of freedom each and a stated payload of 9 lbs (about 4.1 kg) per arm. It can be ordered in a purely static configuration or mounted on a holonomic base capable of a zero-radius turn, which lets the same upper body serve either as a fixed workstation or as a compact mobile unit. Target settings named by the manufacturer are logistics, hospitality and service environments, with kitchens singled out as the lead application. Everything else is missing from the manufacturer's material: no height, mass, reach, sensor suite, battery figure, cycle time, safety certification or price, and no named customer deployment. The one operational number the company puts on the R-top page is 2.4 million tasks completed in 2025, but that figure covers the whole Robot.com fleet - it is not broken down by machine, and the R-top page carries the same counter as the rest of the site. The entry is dated 2025 because the product photography, video and renders on the R-top page were published in late October 2025, and it is kept at prototype stage: the company sells demos and quotes for it, but has not announced a commercial launch for this model the way it did for R-noid in June 2026, and no third party has documented one working in production. The profile carries the editorial placeholder image, because the manufacturer's public media kit has folders for R-cargo, R-dog, R-kiwi and R-noid only - there is no R-top material in it, and the renders of R-noid show a different machine.
