The TM25S is the far-reaching end of Techman's S series: 1902 mm of reach with a 25 kg rated payload, on an arm weighing 82 kg. No other cobot in the Taiwanese company's catalogue spans that far, and only the TM30S matches its mass. It was shown publicly at Metalex in Bangkok in November 2023 and is aimed at high-volume pick-and-place, machine tending, packaging and palletising, where the pallet, the machine door and the conveyor rarely sit within reach of a smaller arm. What separates it from the rest of the family is the wrist. Techman fits the TM25S with a built-in force-torque sensor, which the company presents as the reason the arm can handle insertion, contact and finishing work that a purely position-controlled cobot would have to approach blind. Combined with the S series safety package, that makes the 25 kg model a heavy-duty arm intended to work next to people rather than inside a fence. One number deserves care, because the public record is inconsistent. Trade coverage of the launch quotes a repeatability of plus/minus 0.03 mm, the figure Techman promotes for the S series as a whole and describes as an improvement of up to 70 percent over its earlier line. The manufacturer's own current product page for the TM25S quotes plus/minus 0.05 mm. The smaller S arms - TM5S, TM7S, TM12S, TM14S and TM20S - are all listed at plus/minus 0.03 mm on the same site. This catalogue records the manufacturer's per-model figure: on the two largest arms, the series headline does not hold. The rest is shared platform. Protection is IP65, so the arm can be hosed down, against IP54 on the older TM5 to TM20 line, and the control box was raised to IP54 for harsher rooms. The sixth axis now turns at 450 degrees per second instead of 225, which Techman credits with a 25 percent shorter cycle. Safety runs to as many as 31 TUV-certified functions rated PL d, Cat 3 under ISO 13849-1 and compliant with the current ISO 10218-1, with SGS certification for UL and CSA in North America and a Declaration of Incorporation for Europe as partly completed machinery. Vision is built in, as on every Techman arm, and on the S series it is an AI stack rather than a rule editor: classification, object detection, semantic segmentation and anomaly detection, trained through the TM AI+ Training Server. Programming is TMflow 2, keeping the graphical node flow for newcomers while adding a Script Node and Script Project for engineers who would rather compile code, with TMcraft for custom operator interfaces. No list price is published; the arm is sold through the distributor network.
