Cruzr Y1

Cruzr Y1 is the working sibling of Cruzr S2 - the same wheeled-humanoid idea, but stripped of showroom ambitions and pointed straight at factory and warehouse floors. UBTech published its product page in August 2026, positioning the machine for depalletising, mixed-material sorting, and loading and unloading CNC machines and injection moulding equipment. Instead of legs, the robot uses an omnidirectional wheeled base and a vertical lifting column: it passes through 0.8 m aisles, rotates 360 degrees on the spot, and works through a 0-1.8 m vertical range that the manufacturer matches to standard racking and production-line heights. Each of the two humanoid arms has seven degrees of freedom and a 750 mm reach, with a rated payload of 10 kg for the pair and repeatability of plus/minus 0.5 mm - precise enough, UBTech says, for fine assembly. End effectors are modular and quick-change: suction cups and jaw grippers can be swapped, which is how the robot handles cartons, paper boxes and irregular shapes on the same shift. Endurance is the part UBTech emphasises most. The manufacturer quotes over 4 hours of runtime and under 1.5 hours to recharge, but pairs that with two ways of topping up - a hot-swap battery and an automatic charging dock - so a production line does not have to stop for the robot. Perception combines a laser lidar, two area-array TOF sensors, an RGBD camera in the head, RGBD cameras at both wrists and a stereo camera in the base, which UBTech describes as 360-degree three-dimensional sensing with multiple layers of protection, backed by voice interaction. The base carries an emergency stop, four status lamps, an operator screen and an ergonomic push handle for manual guidance. The company says the robot autonomously matches box sizes, docks with roller conveyors and racking, and recovers from shifted or collapsed stacks without human intervention. UBTech has not published a height, a weight, a price or deployment volumes for Cruzr Y1.
