UWORLD U1 is UBTech's move out of the factory and into the living room. Announced on 30 June 2026 in Shenzhen, it is a full-size humanoid built not for industrial work but for companionship: biomimetic silicone skin, a proprietary dual-pivot cervical spine, and an emotion-aware language model intended for long-term relationships with a single user. UBTech calls it the world's first mass-produced ultra-bionic humanoid and reported 13,361 cumulative orders at the launch event, with prices starting at 119,800 RMB. The series has three members: U1 Lite, a semi-torso edition; U1 Pro, the high-performance full-body model; and U1 Ultra, the high-dynamic full-body model. UBTech publishes its numbers at series level rather than per variant: 88 degrees of freedom, reproduction of up to 90 percent of fundamental human movements, recognition of more than 20 fine-grained emotional states at a claimed accuracy above 90 percent, a 500-millisecond response time and lip-sync latency held within 20 milliseconds. The software stack is where UBTech places its bet. It describes a fast-and-slow brain architecture running models in the hundreds of billions of parameters, an Agent Memory OS that carries memory across sessions, and a proactive care engine that reacts to what happens in the room rather than waiting to be addressed. Privacy is presented as a three-layer design based on local-first processing, minimal cloud dependency and hardware cut-offs the user controls — a claim that matters for a machine with cameras and microphones aimed at a home. UBTech also pledged to donate 100 customised units in 2026 to isolated seniors, children separated from parents and families in hardship. UBTech publishes the physical numbers in Chinese only, and by edition rather than by variant: the male edition stands 183 cm and weighs 42 kg, the female edition 168 cm and 35.2 kg, both built to life-size human proportions. Runtime is 2 to 4 hours on a charge across the whole series — a figure Chinese outlets seized on in July 2026, noting that a companion sold for up to 990,000 RMB cannot last a night. Prices separate the variants sharply: U1 Lite at 119,800 RMB is a half-body edition, U1 Pro at 169,800 RMB adds the limbs, and U1 Ultra at 990,000 RMB for the male edition and 880,000 RMB for the female one is the only one able to move on its own. Pre-orders opened on JD.com on 2 June 2026 against a 3,000 RMB deposit. The machine is sold to adults only and, in UBTech words, does not support secondary development — there is no developer platform behind it. Battery capacity, compute specification and delivery volumes remain undisclosed.
