G1-D is what Unitree calls an end-to-end platform: the humanoid is only one third of the product, sold together with a data-acquisition suite and a training and inference stack. The machine itself drops the legs of the walking G1 and puts the torso, head and arms on a telescopic column that travels between roughly 1,260 and 1,680 mm, so the same robot can reach a low bench or a high shelf without balancing. Unitree counts 19 degrees of freedom outside the end effector: seven per arm, two in the waist, one in the column and two in the base. The base itself is a choice - a passive castor stand, or an optional powered chassis that moves at up to 1.5 m/s. Each wrist takes a two-finger gripper or a three- or five-finger dexterous hand, and carries its own HD camera to complement the binocular HD camera in the head. The point of that geometry is data. The bundled software manages collection as a fleet operation - templated tasks, assignment, progress tracking and review - and Unitree says the architecture is built for hundreds of robots collecting simultaneously, with output convertible to mainstream training formats. The training half runs distributed jobs, evaluates policies in a 3D simulation library and exports a model back to the machine in one click, with declared integration for the open pi and GR00T families and for Unitree's own open-source UnifoLM-WMA-0 world-model-action framework. What the manufacturer does not publish is the commercial and physical detail a buyer would compare: no price, no mass, no payload per arm, no reach figure and no runtime for the powered base. Those fields stay empty here rather than being filled from resellers' listings.
