The Go1 is the machine that pushed legged robotics below the price of a used car. Announced in 2021 at 2,700 USD for the entry Air version, it weighs about 12 kg, folds down to 0.588 x 0.22 x 0.29 m and reaches 17 km/h. Unitree fitted it with what the company calls super-sensing: five sets of fisheye binocular depth cameras covering roughly 150 x 170 degrees each, backed by a 16-core CPU and a 384-core GPU rated at 1.5 TFLOPS. Twelve joint motors deliver up to 23.7 N.m at hip and thigh and 35.55 N.m at the knee. Three versions were sold: Air (one sensing pair, 2.5 m/s, 2,700 USD), Pro (five pairs, 3.5 m/s, 3,500 USD) and Edu (five pairs, 3.7 m/s, price on request), the last aimed at universities and developers. Adaptive payload is quoted at 3-5 kg with a stated limit of 10 kg. The Go1 has since been superseded in Unitree's line-up by the Go2, but it remains one of the most widely deployed research quadrupeds in the world.
