Xiaomi CyberOne

CyberOne was unveiled by Lei Jun in Beijing on 11 August 2022, one year after Xiaomi's robot dog CyberDog, and it was the company's statement that a phone maker could build a full-size humanoid. The published figures are 177 cm and 52 kg, 21 degrees of freedom and a joint response time of 0.5 ms, with peak torque of 300 Nm at the main joint. The upper-limb actuators are the more telling number: 500 g each for 30 Nm, giving roughly 1.5 kg of grip per hand - enough to hold a flower, which is what it did on stage, and not enough to do factory work with its arms. Sensing and interaction were where Xiaomi put its own technology. CyberOne carries the in-house Mi-Sense depth vision module feeding Xiaomi's AI algorithms, and the company said it recognises individuals, gestures and expressions, distinguishing 85 types of environmental sound and 45 classifications of human emotion - the machine was pitched as something that would detect happiness and comfort a person who was sad, rather than as a work platform. Walking speed was given as 3.6 km/h, and Lei Jun said openly at the launch that the robot cost hundreds of thousands of yuan per unit to build. What happened next is the part the specification sheets miss. Xiaomi never put CyberOne on sale, never announced a price and quickly denied press reports that mass production was imminent. Instead the programme turned inward: the robot became an internal automation project, a second-generation body was shown in April 2026, and in July 2026 Lei Jun posted footage of humanoids working on a Xiaomi assembly line. Xiaomi has published no specification sheet for that second generation - the height, speed and payload figures circulating for it come from enthusiast posts, not from the company, and this profile deliberately does not repeat them. CyberOne therefore stands in the catalogue as what it is: a 2022 prototype that was never commercialised, whose real successor has not yet been documented by its maker.
